Hand out work.
Hand it in.
Give feedback.

ClassDrop is a classroom workspace built for primary schools. Set a task in seconds, let children hand in photos, videos, voice notes and drawings, and give feedback they'll actually read — all in one warm, simple place.

by Primary Coding League — built by teachers who run coding clubs every week

What it does

Everything a classroom needs, nothing it doesn't

One page per task, one folder per child, one place for the whole story of their work.

Set tasks in seconds

Title, instructions, due date — done. Add points to switch on grading, attach a resource or a starter canvas, publish now or schedule for later, and lock hand-ins automatically when the deadline passes. Reuse any task as an editable copy, build canvases in your own library, and share the best ones with colleagues.

Hand in anything

Children add photos straight from the camera, video clips, voice notes, drawings made in the built-in canvas, files or links — then press one big friendly “Hand in” button.

Feedback that lands

Reply with a comment, a voice note, a sticker, or draw directly on a child's work. Every folder keeps the conversation next to the work it's about — and parents can see it too.

Shared class folder

Every task gets a whole-class space where children can post for their peers — perfect for galleries, show-and-tell and celebrating finished projects.

Gradebook & Markbook

A live grid of who's handed in, who's been graded and how the class is doing — plus a markbook with primary-friendly, colour-coded scales like WTS / EXS / GDS, or your school's own.

Reading log

A simple reading record teachers and parents both write in — books, pages, and a note about how it went, all in one running log per child.

Behaviour points

Award house-style points for effort, kindness and great work, with class totals and per-child views. Behaviours are customisable per class.

Class discussions

Teacher-led discussion threads for questions and ideas — with every pupil post held for approval in moderated classes.

Portfolios

Star a child's best pieces and they join a portfolio that follows them through the year — a ready-made evidence trail for parents' evening.

Who it's for

Four views, one classroom

Everyone sees exactly what they need — and nothing they shouldn't.

Teachers

Run the room

Set work, review hand-ins, grade, moderate the shared folder and keep the markbook — from one dashboard that shows what needs you next.

Pupils

Big friendly buttons

Join a class with a 5-letter code. See “my tasks”, add work with the camera or canvas, and collect stickers and feedback.

Parents

Follow along

A simple parent code links you to your child. See their work, the teacher's feedback, and add to the reading log at home.

School office

The whole school

Manage staff, pupils and classes, set school-wide grading scales and branding, and build report templates for the end of term.

Safeguarding first, always

ClassDrop is built for children, so the guard rails are on by default:

  • Moderation on by default — pupil posts to peer-visible spaces wait for teacher approval before anyone else sees them.
  • Language screening — flagged wording is automatically held for the teacher, whatever the class settings.
  • Teachers hold the keys — join codes, parent codes, locking tasks and removing content are all teacher-controlled.
  • No pupil accounts to leak — the demo keeps everything on the device it runs on.

How it works

From nothing to first hand-in in five minutes

No installs, no setup meetings, no training day.

Create your class

Name it, pick a schedule, and ClassDrop makes a join code like JX4P7. Pupils enter it once and they're in.

Set your first task

Write the instructions, set a due date, attach a starter if you like. Every child gets a private folder; the class gets a shared one.

Review and reply

Hand-ins queue up on your dashboard. Open a folder, leave a voice note or a sticker, set a grade — and share the parent code so home can follow along.

See it with a class already inside

The demo comes pre-loaded with a school, two classes, tasks and hand-ins — pick any account and explore every view.
